Hurricane Katrina Damage Claims must be filed by August 28, 2006.

What you need to submit your claims

Several pieces of information are needed to submit your claim to State Farm. First, you should be able to provide the names of all insurance companies you may have homeowner’s policies with. Second, your policy number will help expedite the claims process and allow your agent to work with as effectively as possible. Finally, you must be able to provide contact information such as a phone number and address where you can be reached.

If you are at a location where you cannot easily be reached, you should provide State Farm with an emergency contact who can relay important messages along to you. Once you have provided the necessary information to State Farm, your agent should be able to give you a time frame during which an adjustor is expected to visit your home.Any additional items you may need will be fully explained to you by your agent.
